Bossa Nova is a style of music I’ve recently develpoed a crush on and Tom Jobim is something like the Godfather of it.
This is a cut of him and Elis Regina recording his composition aguas de marco as a duet. Eperanza Spalding, a jazz artist, said Bossa Nova and Brazilian samba’s native language, portuguese , is “intrisically linked” to their melodies and and the way they’re formed. So i thought that was pretty interesting. I guess I’ll look into that that later.
